Guitar part
Lovely starts with a one-bar rest. The remaining of the intro consists of the guitar playing one semibreve (whole note) on chord C and 2 minims (half notes) per bar on chords E minor and B minor. Verses 1 and 2 and the pre-chorus have the same rhythm as the intro. However, note at the end of the first chorus that there is a one bar-rest (bar 22).
The pre-chorus uses a rhythm consisting of quavers (eighth notes) and semiquavers (sixteenth notes). Note the use of up and down strumming in this section of the song.
The outro uses both the pre-chorus rhythm (bars 39-42) and the intro/verses rhythm (bars 43-47).
