Jannali Music Lessons – Holiday Program

Discover what it is like to be in a rock band and write a song with our Jannali music lessons holiday program.

Duration of the program:

The program runs for three days (Monday to Wednesday) every week during school holidays. It is held from 9am until 12pm.

When is the next one?

Monday 14 April to Wednesday 16 April.

What you’ll learn:

In this fun-packed program you will:

Learn how to write a song in a group
Jam with other musicians
Improve skills and techniques on your instrument
Develop your self-confidence

At the end of the program, you will have your own song. Family and friends are invited to attend a performance, where you and your group showcase your creative talents.

Let Us Help You Realise Your Full Potential

Day 1:

On the first day, your teacher will evaluate your level of skill with your instrument. This is to assess what tasks you are most suited to. For example, if you are a guitarist, one of your main roles might be to create the chord progressions for the song the group is composing. If you are a singer, your role might be to write the words and melody of the song.

Your teacher will also begin with an introduction to songwriting. You will learn about keys, chord progressions and how to create melodies based on scales. Guitarists are encouraged to check out this article to brush up on their chords prior to the first day. Likewise, drummers should also click here to brush up on their basic rhythm grooves.

Day 2:

Unleash your creativity! This is the day you begin writing your song in your group.

Day 3:

On day 3, you will finish writing your song for the group. Family and friends are invited to attend a performance, where you and your group will showcase your creative talents.
