This article features five beginner guitar songs we teach in our guitar lessons. Their aim is to make students become proficient playing chords C, F, G and A minor. Click here to see the charts for these chords. A capo is needed to play along with some of the original audio recordings. For each of the chord progressions, you will find “|” between the chords. These are the barlines dividing the chords into bars. Let’s get started!

“Demons” is the first of our beginner guitar songs in this article. The same chords are played throughout the whole song. Note that the capo is placed on fret 3 if you wish to play along with the original audio recording.

Apologise is the second selection of our beginner guitar songs. Like “Demons”, the same chord progression is played throughout the song and the capo is placed on fret 3.
